Default Shift Cable Replacement

I am looking for some advice on replacing a shift cable on a Bravo drive. I recently had one of my shift cables go bad and need to replace. I have looked into it and see it doesn't look to hard however I need to do it without taking the gimbal apart. (I need the boat for the 4th weekend). My question, is this pretty easy to do without taking the gimbal apart and is there any tips and tricks? To me it looks like a tight fit but very possible with only removing the drive. Any advice is much appreciated.

its doable just removing the drive. I just did it. I does have to be adjusted correctly when your done though. I did the cable myself than had a friend with the adjuster tools do the adjusting.
