Default Newb Bravo 1 question

I have a 97 checkmate convincor with a 500 hp engine. I dropped the outdrive and it locked up. I vought a new one I got from a guy on this forum. My bravo one has a place for muffs and garden hose, The one I bought does not. It also says inner cooler on it in place of bravo one. Do I need to use my old lower unit? Or is the water pickup just in a different place on this one? Or was the boat that this drive came off of radiated and doesn't have a lake water pick up? Thanks guys. My old boats were al alpha drives so I'm kinda new to the performance stuff

Rob

Not 100% sure either so interested in the answer. Are you sure it does not have the pick ups on the bottom/front of the nose cone!

Here is another option - I do not advocate any particular brand but have a bob's and it does the trick for my outboards. The others could be as good or better. http://www.bobsmachine.com/Fresh-Wat...202-100000.htm

Yep, recommended in this tread, although dated, still good info.

Thanks guys for turning me on the right spot, outdrive ran good, the other component on it I did not know about I figured out was a drive shower but its missing the pick up. Inner Cooler is the brand, going to try and find the rest of it if anyone knows where to look. All that is on it is the plate on the upper housing, the threaded female fitting has nothing in it.
