I believe the manual says 271 loctite. Red.

I can take a few shots with the covers off. Does anyone else have the rattling feeling shifting out if gear? My older bravo's didn't do that, but some have told me the XZ / XR's do that normally??

Clean the threads with brake dry clean and dry them off good. I use Blue loctite, 242 I believe is the number. I have yet to have one back out using that procedure.
And yes you were lucky!! Go buy a lotto ticket..

My XR's will ratchet the shifter when you pull them out of gear.

A few pics as requested. The bolt was sitting In The area just to the right of the shift mechanism.
