can someone tell me how to decode a mercruiser drive serial number?

Trying to determine some info on serial # OM 167424. Hw old is it? What boat did it come from originally? Can someone decode for me or tell me the site to go to? Thanks a million!

Was sold on a 02 Nordic 28. It was mfg. 04/11/02 Bravo 1 1:50. Eng. it was reg. with was a 496HO.

Hey new to the forum and new to I/o's. So I bought one at auction blew the upper gear box and now I'm curious to the the year of the drive and I hate seeing 1998-up. Can someone decide this one for me? 0W840652? Thanks in advance!
