you want the long hub wheels and look for 4 blade in the pitch range you have now, maybe less an inch. what diameter are they now? that spacer should be stainless steel. look at the prop classifieds here on OSO. think you want the 19 spine hub. pull a prop nut and look for the specs #'s should be on prop nut hub face.

you will need your drive gear ratio and the engines approx. rated max. RPM. we can use a 10% slip factor based on using a four blade wheel for kicks and giggles, then from that calculate the est. top speed. did by chance you find a HP tag

Ricky, that looks like your drive plug in bearing support. looks like it needs a rebuild. ahead of that you have your short jack/drive shaft and assoc. u-joints that mate to your trans. the drive gear ration I was referring to is the reduction in the actual drive which as you know hangs off the transom. I would guess it is like 1.33 : 1 or taller. be interesting to find out what they ran with your diesel set up. that big nut in the middle of your inner transom assembly is for the gear oil. be sure it is changed and refilled, you will see the proper level in the sight glass to the right looking aft in your pictures. will you be able to repair the skeg starboard side drive? have you inspected the out side bellows and oil line etc.? Have you experience draining drive oil and refilling?

that's good glad your handy 1:1 out drive I would double ck. if that is it. its prob. unique to the cat/diesel set up. J will follow along with you. the 1:1 makes sense re: your rpm limitations vs torque. Have to ask was the boat to be capable of 40knots +

Not trying to hi jack this but I had never considered 3208's as an option for my 40' center console fish boat, until I read this. Twin 435's would weight about 1000#'s more than a pair of 440 yanmars, plus I have heavy wet sump #6 drives. But these motors are very common and a fraction of the cost of the Marine Diesel Duramax's
Does anyone have an idea if or how the weight would adversely effect the boats performance?

I don't know why you would use either of those options, both older motors, What drives do you have or plan to use? the 480 Yanmar is a good engine but a better choice would FPT 570 (which can come with 600hp) or the Cummins 6.7 550hp, the FPT has much better packaging though. I have Yanmar 315's (6LP) with Bravo drives in my boat and it is a great setup.
