yup, true story. it came out of a very reputable drive guys mouth as he was digging into my dry sump six's that had less than 200 hrs on them with 600 hp from the start of a fresh 6 rebuild.

I broke an upper in Key West with about 100 hours on it, but you know the horsepower I'm asking it to take. Putting on complete new drives, rebuilding old set like new and will sell them, oh, M8's

why not make a tax deductible donation of the #6 drives to a shelter im opening up, for homeless hookers here in colombia?

it's a very worthy cause, and besides, obama has a pen a phone and a bad attitude, and wants to tax the piss out of ballers like you after the midterms. lol you could surely use the deduction. lol

An M8 upper at 100 hours.......that's disappointing. Let's hope Mercury Racing sorts that problem out.

I sent mine to Craig this winter and the cost was around $3,500.00. Replaced seals and bearings.

Mercury Racing is my favorite, I really like Arneson's product also. I'm sure they will sort out the problem, the M8 is rated at 33% strength increase over the 6.
