Outdrive help PLEASE

Ok so went to lake norman last week to start my boating season early as luck would have it lost a prop and shaft so wanted some advise . Was thinking about installing an xr sportmaster or an imco not sure I want to get involved install water pickups right now looks like the imco s don't have a water pickups not sure . Also pro's and con's if I go to a shorter drive height thanks for your help trying to get get back in the water next weekend .

The imcos have a water pickup slot in the nose of the drive. How fast is the boat? Is it the 33 sport deck under your avatar?

The Imco has a huge water inlet. I welded up half of mine to get the raw water pressure down and reduce cav burn. Get the larger prop shaft. Did your prop shaft twist and snap off?

yes it did second one in 7yrs guess its not bad was cranking across the the lake almost 80 smooth water trimmed up having good time and bye bye prop

Swapping lowers is easy and straight forward. The Imcos lowers should be faster.

-2" works wonders on my boat. You need to ask the PP guys about your model.
