Default bravo 1 noise and leak

Was out this weekend and everything was fine. Went to take off and noticed a slight noise. Stopped did a quick inspection (had drive lube), so went to power or again and noise got much worse. Sounds similar to a failed u joint. Only noticeable in forward gear. Put the boat away and came back today to notice this leak all the way around the drive. Any ideas? Will post picture very soon.

Well photos aren't working for me. From what I can find with two minutes of research, oil is leaking between upper unit and bell housing

You didn't mention anything about the BOOM that occurs before the oil starts to leak from between the upper and the bell housing....I'd say a broken tooth also, along with a broken upper housing right behind the pinion bearing spanner nut

No "boom". Just Got noticeably worse at second throttle. Never noticed an oil leak until after the boat was parked overnight. Going to pull off tomorrow, but was just looking for a direction to head. Thanks for any and all help

Pull the top cap off the drive and look for chunks of metal
