Default Bravo XR

Is it advisable to take a couple good used Bravo XR gears and match them with a new pinion?

That is common practice, the gears are hammered into shape, so there is no matching of the gears in stock form. You could put them on a degree table and measure each tooth, but good luck finding a decent set. They just don't build them like they used to in early 2000's.
