biggest problem with TRS is 30 year old aluminum. the transoms get eaten up too. any TRS drive or transom that is solid is worth buying...

Plenty of cherry trs drives and parts for sale .They are great drives with moderate power.I take it you have had no problem with breakage.Cost way less than a konrad conversion.John Sr

I picked up a complete trs lower in Ft Meyers last spring that was brand new, also bought a steering assembly from Dollar marine a couple years ago that was still brand new so parts are still pretty easy.
However the half conversion with konrads would be the best next step.

Did the full conversion on a Topgun. Broke two TRS drive just easy running with stock 502s. Built two new Merlin 555 cuin engines and Kondrads,no problems in two years. Not cheap, just do it for piece of mind.

i've got a complete konrad conversion that has about 5 hours on it and will come with a 90 day warranty. transom assemblies, tie bar, all hardware and the 540's. 15k for the whole deal. i will see if i can get a few pictures up, they are mint. the boat has never sat in the water or outside for that matter.
