Default Bravo 1 Pressure Tester

Have noticed that one of my Bravo 1 drives was starting to use a small amount of drive oil over last season (added about 8 oz last season over 30 hours). I would like to do my own pressure test on the drive to see if it is leaking before I put it in the water for the season. I'm a newbie at this and have a few questions:
What pressure tester would you recommend?
Also what attachment do you use to screw the tester into the drive?
Is a vacuum test helpful or is just a pressure test sufficient?

Thanks for any feed back.

I have been using the Stevens outdrive pressure tester for 30 years if not more. They last about 5 to 15 years depending on how much you use them plus how well you store them. Mine gets used at a min of 50 times per year and when I was rolling in the past about 150 to 200 times per year. if you need one I can sell U a brand new one. If not no big deal either - not much profit in them anyways.

do not hold me to this price but last year retail was something around 138 without shipping. I can check on it tomorrow if needed.

So do you want me to check on the current price ? Didn' t want to leave it hanging unless a no.

really they are a multi tool - its hand pump operated for checking outdrives with a pressure gauge on it to monitor the psi readings and for the drops (leaks)..

We used them for pressure testing oil coolers, pwr steering coolers, exhaust manifolds, also intake manifolds especially for V-6 GM marine apps. Anyways most marine techs use this tool as well.

In my own mind I like to think that I use more than just checking outdrives compared to others..

Hi BUP - thank you for the offer but I'm going to have to pass. I'm borrowing a friends cheaper tester to see if it will work.
