Default Bravo 2x shift problem

I have a drive with about 100 hrs on it. At first therre was a delay of a second or two before going into forward gear. I called the guy I got the drive from and he told me to run it as long as the oil looked ok. He said sometimes clutch and gear setups do that. I wasn't happy with that answer, not to mention it was a pain to drive, so I had it inspected and was told that it looked perfect. I put it back on and now it partially engages for a second before fully shifting. It also has a tick when returning to neutral. Can anyone tell me what's going on? I'm sure it's gonna blow any time. Thanks in advance.

Could be as simple as the shifter being out of adjustment, not pulling or pushing it all the way into gear?
