Default bad vibration , no gear. bravo 1

Bravo 1. So i'm out on the lake today, started running it harder. Trimmed up a bit. At 80mph i felt a bit clunk, lost 50% of forward drive. Throttled back. Back vibration, worse when i trimmed up or turned. No gear selection. Vibration in gear or out. Im hoping its possibly a broken u-joint in my input shaft? Any ideas? I plan on pulling the outdrive in a few hours when i get home. Preparing for the worst, hoping for the best

Blown drive. If you blew the U joint you wouldn't be going anywhere AND you would have the drive hanging at an odd angle. ( broken gimbal ring or helmet )

Im in the boat right now and had a look. I can see some broken casting around the drive plate. Also looks like the drive plate os off center and theres a burnt rubber smell

Yup. Just pulled the drive off. It seems to be ok still. Good for $$. Bad for my labor havin to pull this motor to change the coupler.... so much for a boating weekend!

It looks like it broke some chunks of cast aluminum off around the transom coupler housing where it sheared off. I couldnt imagine anything critical tho... i hope. Broke the welds on the plate to the coupler by the looks of it

Make sure to replace the mounts in the bell housing.
