Default Painting outdrive...found little hole in lower...

So I was scuffing drive and noticed a very small hole in the front of my bravo 1. It's not a water pickup and not the speedo pick up either. It's a very small hole about the size of a 14 gauge wire. It's about a 1/2 inch above the nose of the lower. The drive is full of fluid so it's not leaking. Has pressure even on the fill screw when I loosened it to check fluid. Something to be concerned about? I have never had the boat in the water and don't know previous owners. ..

can you poke a welding wire or anything into it? Might just be porosity in the casting.

When you stick the wire in...where does it go? How far? Hard stop? Does it come out with oil on it?

The LCM comment was a joke in reference to another hot thread right now.

Yea, if it goes in 2.5", i would say it's definitely not porosity in the casting.

Aside from that, I have no idea what it's for.
