Your hours are the due time for 525/XR. Our old Formula had the same power train, was bought new by a physician and his family, never abused the boat put 260 hrs on it. We bought it used 1 season and blew out a case at 280 hours and rebuilt the other drive, it was ready to go also. 525s are strong running engines, they put stress on the XRs. Consider your hours good, get the drives inspected and rebuilt, rinse and repeat.
