Nose cone on new style Bravo One, 82 MPH yes or no?
I currently have an original 1998/1999 bravo one lower with a nose cone. Runs great, boat is topping out @ 82 with a 4 blade bravo. Boat is a 20'7" eliminator with a pad, and runs high X dimension and runs best with lots of trim to fly the boat.
But I'm changing the upper to a Bravo X, that has the oil passage, and with a slight mod I can make those two work (Thanks Mike for the tip!)
This issue is a speed and handling. The boat came with the nose cone, so have no clue what it would run like with it, but assume it would blow out.
I have a newer style lower with the lower water pickups on the nose/bullet which also much longer (looks almost like merc added a nose cone)
Is a nose cone needed or recommended on the newer lower units?
Thanks for input!
