Default Painting a -2 sportmaster lower

Hi guys, what do you think about painting a sportmaster lower on a boat that stays in fresh water all summer? It would be for the protection factor to stop the pitting from electrolysis. I like the look of the bare aluminum better but want the protection. And bad in painting it.

I think they make protective outdrive Coatings that are also clear. You don't want to leave unpainted aluminum in the water all summer. Besides if it's in the water all summer, only the fish are really going to see it anyway.
