Default Vessel View Compatibility?

Thinking about a repower this winter, I currently have 2012 Twin Mercury Racing 300XS's and have the Race Edition Vessel View. If I go with the new 400R's, which is DTS, can I still use my Vessel View? I think the part number for mine is 898277K14.

Yes it will work fine. There is no replacement for the race view units or software that was used on them with the new units.

Just plug and play. No need for the Mercury gateway with the 5 or 7. The 7 is much larger though. I would keep the Race View over the 5, though.

If you do upgrade to the 400s, make sure you re-evaluate your steering system. I've had a few significant challenges with mine that caused a true "pucker" moment. Some resolved but not 100%
