Wet Sounds Audio
I just wanted to post a quick thread as an FYI to anyone on here.
I just installed a complete Wet Sounds audio system in my Donzi 27 ZR and couldn't be happier. I would consider myself a bit of an audiophile and had a VERY hard time deciding on Wet Sounds over JL (which seems to be typical for powerboats).
Sound is very crisp and clean and extremely loud.
Setup details for those interested:
- Wet Sounds Syn DX-6 amp (everything including subs powered by 1 amp)
- 4 pair of Wet Sounds XS-650 6.5"
- 2 Wet Sounds 2 Ohm 10" FA free air subs (I was also amazed at how much bass these produce. I was told by many that I would never be happy with a free air sub but these are excellent. I have them mounted under the rear seat.)
- Completely ran new wiring to every speaker, all connections soldered. All KnuKonceptz wiring 14 ga. to 6.5" speakers, 12 ga. to ground, and 4 ga. power/ground for amp

I bought through Creative Audio seeing they were a little cheaper than direct from Wet Sounds. As long as you buy from one of Wet Sounds authorized dealer (which Creative is) then you get their full warranty.
The amp was the most expensive part at about $900, but the 6.5" speakers were only like $165 a pair and subs were pretty affordable as well.

Looks like everyone is sold out of the xs-650s..I think wetsounds discontinued them. Which sucks since I had 8 xs-650s in my last boat and loved them. Was looking to add them to the new boat. I don't get why wetsounds kept the lower end xs-65 but discontinued the better xs-650..??
