27 Eliminator Daytona, 300xs Merc
Old girl, not bad for 20 years....

Well we are proud of the old girl, she is down for the moment. We are rigging her with a set of 2008 300xs. New gauges, throttles and all new Billet throughout. I will try to post the after pics when we get them. For now here is the before pics

i have a 1988 27 daytona with 2-2004 300x's. Before that I had triple 2.5 efi offshores. Great boat owned since new. 90 mph max. Let us know how it runs.

I was hoping for more....

SO you are saying that with your twin setup you are seeing 90ish?
What props?
Jackplates?
Setback?

I am planing on 5 blade clevers, 4" hydraulic jacplate on a 12-13" aluminum setback. We were hoping to get it to the mid 90's.... I will keep you posted.

Where is your pic???

Thanks for your help. It is apreciated.

I run 14.5 x 30 4 blade merc lab cleavers or 15 x 28 3 blade merc regular cleavers--pretty much same performance. Except I lost a blade once on the 3 blades-- 4 blades seem to be most reliable. I have about 12 inch setback with manual jackplates. I really need to get the nose up a little bit. I run drives outward but am going to try inward this summer. The boat is real heavy so I'm not sure you're gonna get mid 90's. Good Luck.

guess I didn't look very close at your avatar

I have a few shots of other Eliminators from that day, looks like maybe a couple from your picture. If anyone is interested pm me.

We will be there in the new Daytona on Saturday for sure, shooting for Friday too. Can't wait for spring!
