seems odd they would give a 2007 boat a 2010 MSO

Boat was built as part of the promo for the Pepsi 500 race by a dealer in 2007 and then used in his showroom as a promotion tool. He was done with it and put it up for a charity auction. The way boat registration works is that if it was never titled or registered the factory can re-stamp. Nothing hidden as it was used in the 2007 race but great deal for the new owner. When you figure same money for 2007 or 2010 he is much further ahead with 2010 especially for finance or insurance.
The factories do this all the time.
Never met a customer yet who would fight to have it registered as the older date.
The boat is pretty friggin cool too!

Everything is all stickers. Peel right off and then you are left with that amazing gel coat work. Both colors are metallic! Only thing left would be a few cushions.
It will sell close to what a base 27 would be.

So, you bought it as a repo from National Liquidators and convinced the factory to re-stamp it as a '10 ?
How does that make sense ? Were there any changes made to the hull in order to justify the re-stamp from '07 to '10 ?
No doubt, it is a beautiful boat, well made, etc, etc, etc,.... but this scenario, as described, would make me very, very careful before depositing any money on this boat.
