you may or may not be able to run a larger prop. The V isnt going to free up from the water quite the same as the cats. and while you may run mid 80's now the difference between 85 and 90 takes more than just a prop. There are times if the wind isnt right and no chop my boat struggles it seems to hit 80, then suddenly it pops free from the water and presto 88-90.

Actually no tricks

A couple of friends on board and 3/4 tanks of fuel !!!
But yes keep in mind the cat hulls do act very diffrent than the v- hulls so your prop choice will differ from what i am running.
