Default 27 Daytona question

Quick question...whats a 26/27 Daytona with 250 Merc outboards run? I met a guy with same boat with 300xs and he said he runs just over 105+.... so I would guess 90s?

I should be able to give you a good answer to this question in about a week. I just took a pair of 2005 250XSs off a 32' Spectre and put 300XSs on it. Still in break in at this time.

It ran 90 at 5800 rpm with 14.5x30 3 blade cleavers with the 250s. It had a bit of throttle left, so it might have run a best of 92-94.

Try to remember that 2005 250XSs were strong engines and required 91 octane fuel unlike the newer 250s that run on 87. Im thinking the speed difference will be the same between these two brands of boats.
