Question shorty lower???

im thinking of a shorty lower for my 27 daytona. has anyone tried this or is using this set up? right know the boat is stock with a 496ho with sport tube cmi's with a bravo 1 X drive. i have plans for a different engine in future but wondering about the shorty lower. i had a 26 daytona with a 525 in it and it had a bravo xr with a sportmaster on it but standard height. always wondered on that boat about this set up also.

Where is your prop shaft in relation to the bottom of the outside sponsons?

i havent taken a straight edge to it yet but at quick glance it looks about 2-3 inches below, from eye view. i know they say the propshaft should be in line with keel of in my case the sponson. im just not sure if it will be better, worse or the same with my power package. im sure i would need a 5 blade to get up on top the water.

I'm running a IMCO -2 that is 4.5" below the center sponson, and about 1/2 of an inch above the lowest spot of the outside sponson.

25 ICC daytona
