I had a chance to run a member here's 26 eliminator with a 525 and XR for a weekend last summer. I was really suprised how much fun the wife and i had in it. Torque was awesome, that 525 grumbles like you have a big ol blower motor back there , the interior felt lkke a bigger boat, the 1/4 canopies work great and the thing handled really nicely. Great boat.

The 26 is 90's the 27 2000's.The 27 is much more modern a boat than the 26 forgetting the flames.
Who is going to be happy with 75mph anyway?

I found this thread to be seriously insensitive.
To refer to a another OSO member's boat directly as "ugly"; especially while he is PAYING OSO to list his boat in the classified section is not exactly cool.
I'm pretty sure this forum wasn't put up to disparage each other's toys either.
I'm not being a b1tch, I just think you could have posted this thread without using the word "ugly" and then directly pointing at another man's investment.

i think both boats are nice. i personally like the icc over the standard deck. i have owned both boats. i had a 2004 26 icc with with the same graphics on it as this 27, and i had a 525 in it with a xr sportmaster drive. with a worked 28 pitch prop i could get 89 mph out of it on gps.... i lost that boat in a garage fire. i currently own a 2006 27 icc with a 496ho in it with cmi sport tubes. the boat has awsome colors. orange white, yellow, purple, and gray. i was hessant with the 496 but liked the boat and can always upgrade in future being i got the boat for a great great price. the price on these boats are great too. currently im running a worked 28 bravo prop and im getting 79 mph out of it on gps with the prop and cmi's im running. (cmi's are extra 58hp.) so this is just my experiance with them. the 26 does have alot more cock pit room but i like the modern look of the deck and dash on the 27 icc. hope this helps.
