I would like to find a wind screen for my 250 Eagle XP

I would like to find a windscreen as the little pop up deflectors give up above 80mph. I talked to Eliminator & they want 2200.00 I would like to find something less expensive as I have invested a lot of money already in revamping it. I haven't started work yet because I just had shoulder surgery and am not able to work like that for a little while. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Randy

I'm in the same "boat" , pun intended. My boat wont touch 80 but low to mid 70's isnt fun on colder days. The last quote I got from Eliminator was around 2K delivered, but I'm sure the price difference is due to shiiping costs. I talked to the owner of the company that makes the windscreens for Eliminator and he wanted more than Eliminator did. Cant blame him, I am one a one time purchaser, Eliminator is a major client for them.

2K seems excessive, but maybe not in the long run. I'm planning on ordering a windscreen from Eliminator in June.

If you find something for less post it up.

Which company did you talk to? I may be wrong but I believe there have been either 2 or 3 suppliers over the years. One supplier(I'm trying to find the name) was a previous acrylics supplier and is VERY AGGRESSIVELY priced.

I talked to a lady at aero marine. She told me to talk to the factory also. She also said the price isn't that much for the actual windscreen, it's the mounting hardware & brackets that cost a lot plus they just make the shape they don't do any of the finish work. Randy

cloudmaster, I talked to Jay @ Wayne Earl today & he told me 1800.00 so I told him to go for it. He said about 2 weeks so I guess I'm set If I can make everything come together like I want with this boat it is going to be an awesome piece of floating & flying fiberglass!! I will start a thread when I can physically start working on it. Stay tuned, Randy

did you go with the hidden hardware, or exposed hardware?

I'd post a picture of mine, but looks like a paid member only option......

I will have to ask about that. If you email your pic to me I can post it for you. Randy

A pic of cloudmaster321's boat. Looks good, the stripes are very similar to mine. I think I will like the look. Randy
