Default 30-33ft Daytona in the ocean

I've seen a few Daytona's in Florida poker run pictures (not sure what size) and I've seen one here in person to Catalina Island. I'm aware that they are primarily for lakes but would you feel comfortable running it offshore occasionally? Does anyone here have any experience? Pics or video? Thanks so much...

Derrick, I have a 30 Daytona with 525's and a 36 Nortech Supercat. I have not run either boat in the ocean, however, I have run in pretty big chop at LOTO on the Shootout weekend in the Daytona. I was pretty uncomfortable in the big chop on LOTO. I would definitely NOT be willing to run my 30 Daytona in the ocean. The boat is ok in 2'-3' chop, it is just not big enough or deep enough to run in big chop or swells. Just my opinion. I have a friend with a 36 Daytona and a friend with a F32 DCB. They both feel comfortable at LOTO in big chop.

I think it depends on the conditions. I have a 25 daytona tall deck with the ICC. I have run my boat in the keys, Galveston, Destin, etc with no problems. Would I go out if the wind was 20mph? Hell no. But on a decent day I have no problems running 60-70mph. A 30-33 should eat that up.
