need expertise on Excalibur 40 Hawk
I have excalibur 40 Hawk with CAT 3208 diesels and Arneson drives.
I have upgraded the vessel in al the ways, even full inside decoration has been done in carbon, bow thruster, windlass, chain, etc..
what I like to ask is the following:
1-Since my chain weighs 400lb at the bow, so how much weight I need to take out from under bed in v-berth?
2-I have mounted my trim tabs parallel to the chines like the fountains have I done a right thing?
I will also post some recent pictures so you can comment.
thanx

It does without any problem, however I like learn how much of ''FLORIDA PLAY SAND'' I should take out to find the correct weight balance,in order to prevent bow movement at top speed and drives up..
On your boat how much PLAYSAND do you have under the v berth?
so I may be able to make a proportion?
thanx

The nose of my boat is nearly empty. I do not carry any weight. I also have a notched transom and extension boxes. It has a lot of leverage to carry the nose.

what about the weight under the bed, have you taken it out completely..
There should be nearly 380 lb of Florida Play Sand under the bed...
It was placed there by the factory at that time..
Since I have the anchor and the chain, I have taken mine out..

How much chain are you carrying?
400lbs of anchor and line sounds like alot.
Maybe swapping to a slide anchor, that need no chain would help.

I would think that the tabs would be okay. I have never noticed sand under the V-berth. I would also reconsider the chain although I am sure you are stuck with it.
You have a really nice looking boat. I love the blue hull sides.
