BAJA OL 650HP/ SABER 28 Gellner unlimited with konrad ace
you need to keep your transoms like they were new if you go with i/o other wise you run into problems with gimbals not fitting. a standard transom is about 2 3/8s or so. as a standard, I have to fill 4'' on my transom on the saber and was going to use a plate also, but konrad said it will not work for my set up. I am going with a konrad ace xfactor drive with ex box going to sell the baja as project boat it gave me 19 yrs of some azz kicking fun. now its SABER time with a DEAN GELLNER 572

Gotcha thanks, I know all about the proper thickness need in the transom to keep everything happy. Should be going to my buddys shop tomm to start on the boat if it doesnt rain or snow for that mater. Good luck with your project.
