Default How to place a value on an '81 Excalibur 27 Speedster

I've recently more or less inherited this boat -- at least I'm in charge of deciding what to do with it. I don't think anyone in the family wants to keep it. My father was its second owner, and I still know the first, so I've been around this boat for all of its 30 years.
After looking around this site and others, I still have no idea how to tell what it is worth -- there seem to be very few comparables on the market.
The boat: garage kept for all of the last 20 years at least, and rarely in the water overnight. I have lots of pictures taken just a few days ago.If anyone has advice on how to prepare it for sale or the best place to post ads, I'm all ears.

Would like to post a couple pictures, but the thing keeps asking for a "script promt" and something about a "URL of your image" -- I have no idea what to do with that.

<<<nevermind, I now see you have to pay to post pics >>>>>

Thank you.

Will do shortly -- I'll compress a few so they don't take up Megs and Megs of space.

VAspeed3,
Sorry for the delay in posting. Based on the photos the boat looks great. Super nice piece. Let me know if I can assist in any way.

Figuring its running... and in the shape represented from these pics, it could be anywhere from $15-$20k.
You could try asking a bit more, being prepared to come down.

BTW, you may want to go over to www.screamandfly.com, and put an add in there.

Great info. It was used last in late August of 2010 and ran fine.

Thanks
