Re: 31 excalibur powerboat test
Matt, were March and May the ones you wanted, or is there another one also? I'd love to get my hands on some of those if there were any forsale, or even copies.
P.S. While doing some Research I found the original Article 25' Executioner/Excalibur Collaboration boat that Reggie Fountain tested or drove, might be of some interest to some of the other Excab guys out there, Search Ebay and type Excalibur Boat,, the ad should pop up 6/16/05.

Re: 31 excalibur powerboat test
i currently own a 32' executioner. the boat was made at the excalibur plant in late 1980. the original (1979) hull was designed by J.C. Simon and later modified and patented by Reggie Fountain hence the birth of Fountain powerboats!!! My executioner was originally rigged with twin turbo 454's and merc ssm #2's. i re powered a couple of years ago with a pair of 900sc's and merc ssm 3a's. This boat, after Reggie got his paws on it, became legendary in offshore racing performance, and was considered to be years ahead of its' time. to this day, some 26 years later, i'm still kicking major BUT!!! with it, as the boat will run in the triple digit's at will, in pretty much any kind of water conditions (within reason). As you, the reader can tell, I'm very much in love with my boat. Why else would I sink such a ridiculous amount of time and money in a 26 year old vessel?? In closing, i'd like to tip my hat to the man who, in my opinion, made the sport of offshore racing what it is today!! To Reggie Fountain, you are THE MAN!!!
