Question on the Extreme 29' SVL?????
Was reading Powerboat Magazine the other day and noticed a picture they put in there from the 2004 World Championships in Key West. The photo was of the Extreme Vortec and the Wild Ride 29's. I noticed that Wild Rides boat did not have the Step ventilated like previous models like the Vortec Extreme. Was just curious on the changes from years past until now? Would like to know the reasoning behind this? Both boats ran very well down there.

Re: Question on the Extreme 29' SVL?????
DPT, The step is self ventilating anyhow, and the boat does not seem to be faster with the air duct ventilated step than without. I beleive the air ducted step holds alot of water before planing and could be slower on the starts. For once, Mark agreed with me on this. The F1 29 has the air duct in the boat but it has not been drilled out yet. We plan on testing without the duct drilled and then with the duct drilled. I'll let you know what the differance is. Sorry for the delay....I didn't see the thread. Dave

Thanks Wardey!!! No worries about the delay. I guess after the test the same decision will be made with the 39' as well?
