Default Faded black trim tab cylinders

HAve seen these trim tab cylinders fade on many boats including mine. Odd thing is my trim tabs are duel ram and just one on each side is fading. ???????? Anyway to bring the black color back or should I paint them. If painting is reccomended with what?????

I painted mine 3 years ago with a spay can.they still look great.

Same problem here. I have insta-trim and just ordered the larger 16" lower tab section. I was just thinking of painting mine as well. They do sell a special paint that sticks better to plastic than your normal off the self stuff. I bought some a few years back from a local paint shop. Don't recall the name but I'll make a call tomorrow

I picked up a can at home depot /gloss black
regular spray paint,its been about 2 years and they still look great.
also they hold up great to acid washing.
