A snap came off and smacked against the paint during a hurricane. Will/can I match this color or will I never get it right on? What is the boards suggections? Who should I trust to do the work?

if you dont have a color code, than a local paint supply house that carries dupont line of paint should be able to take an electronic picture of it and match the color perfectly. the camera used will even account for fading and weathering.

An experienced painter should have no problem with that. As always. Check references and prior work to see if it meets with your approval. It's a small area, it's no big deal.

Default Find out what paint they used to produce the boat and use that.

you will see that the chemical bond is better and the chance for match is better. Find a good painter preferably one that works on boats.
