Yeah , It's unbelievable how expensive bottom painting can be.
I just got a gallon and a half of Pettit Vivid white .. was lucky to get a discount and it still cost $408
Barrier coating systems are'nt cheap either but if it's something that you've got to do , it has to be done right the first time.
Nothing worse than having it flake off in large sheets once it goes overboard.

In the summer about 6-7 days would be the max before you would have well established growth going on over here and cleaning the bottom every trip gets tired very quickly.

Don't forget that the same conditions that demand doing your hull bottom will also mean that your underwater running gear (Outdrives , trans plates etc) will need to be done.

Oh... to boat on a freshwater pond with a trailer waiting at the end of the day !
