I would do paint. I have had 2 fountains with the same wind screed that I had painted. They turned out great.

The only reason I did it at all was because of the "crazing" in the plastic. Get a good match from the gel and paint it. You will have to take your boat to a place where they can shoot the gel to match and it should be pretty damn close. Just be meticulous in the silicone removal and installation of all NEW hardware. I went with stainless screws etc. I have more pics of "before" "during" and "after" if interested. Good Luck!

Yes, I took the glass out and did the prep work.I paid a buddy to shoot it. Overall it came out better than I expected. I am not a fan of the vynil covering. The price you mentioned seems high. I did mine for under $200.

I think you're near by..if you need help let me know
Cheers

I'd sandblast it at about 30 to 40 PSI then prep it before painting with Bulldog. Base/clear should do just fine. Flexibility additive might be a good idea too.

If ya have a minor knowledge of painting, base clear and add flexing agent the paint cant cost more than 60-70 bucks........prep is everything.........buy a cheap base that matches and buy good clear ppg is my choice... Even if ya use a flexing agent it only lasts a couple of weeks before it loses its properties....So with that said if you are going to paint it and let it sit before you put it on dont waste yor money....pm me if ya have any questiones.......
