Default Donzi Minx Project

I'm currently re-doing my Donzi Minx... I figured I'd share with everyone. Feel free to post questions/comments!

Here's what it used to look like...

Here it is as of now. The boat is originally a 1988 Minx, 25th anniversary edition (gray/red)

So far I've got most of this side sanded, and most of the hardware removed including:

- the windshield
-antennas (won't go back)
-snaps for the cockpit cover (won't go back)
-Rub rail
-Engine compartment vents
-The pop up cleat on the bow...

I haven't taken the nav light off yet because I'm still debating on a pop up. I also don't know if I should take the lifting rings off the boat... If I take them off, I'm going to put a cap over the hole and keep all the hardware so they can be put back on.

I always liked the look of the lifting rings. They can sound funny when you are hitting waves but I think they are kind of Unique to the Donzi's and are cool because of that.

Thanks for the input. The Shelby GT22 that I'm using as a 'model' for my boat doesn't have them but I'm leaning towards keeping them anyway. Plenty of time to decide no matter what. Stripping the paint is a real PITA.
