Yeah I puckered up a little when I made that cut!!! Back area of deck needed paint anyway!I think I can grind the edges at 45 angles set the piece back in and glass it from the inside as from factory.Fill the topside 45 degree gap with 4 layers of 2" glass,a little kitty hair, sand her out and see what I have.I will keep posted with pics.Had to pull a ICEMAN and just do it!!!

Yes use Cab. to fill in the gaps. The Cab. is also a great thing to use in the corners. Glass does not like to go around corners so you radius them with the Cab.. Cab. also sticks like diaria on a wool blanket so it holds the glass down in the corners for you.
I would use 24 grit to to grind everything out. Then wet the transom with resin, lay glass on there, wet the glass, wet the plywood and install the first piece. Then do that again with the second piece of plywood all at once. Then bolt it all in place. The other way to do it is to mix a past with Cab. and trowle it in there with a notch trowle. I would only do this at the transom not between the two layers. You want to do the layers of plywood all in one shot to keep as much chemical bonding as possible.

keep in mind those were two different laminates we discussed
The binderless mat is also called epoxy mat from UScomposites (pn# fg-em10550). it is 1.5 ounce continuous strand mat stiched together with no binder. you should need about 8 yards with the triple ply transom. This is what you will use as the first layer and inbetween each layer of wood.
The Bi-ax is 1708 Nytex fabric, it is 17oz double bias fiberglass cloth stiched to a binderless .75oz mat. This is what everything will be encapsulated in. I use two layers on everything and at least two more on all joints. Gonna need atleast 10 to 12 yards of this.
both of them are only about $6.50 a yard so having a few extra yards is advisable.
Give me a call when you get closer to doing it and i'll try and give you a few tips for laying up with epoxy, there are a few tricks 419-461-1484

use either poly or epoxy, one or the other not both. Poly can have curing issues when exposed to the amine blush that is associated with epoxy. 635 is an easy epoxy to use on this type of project becaust it wets out similar to a good laminating poly but has a longer working time.
