For authenticity sake the wood plugs used in this repair came from trees that were felled on the actual site at 188th street where this boat originated . I had to strike a deal with the crew that was clearing the area for the condos

You know, that was Donn Arnowoew's personal boat. He hand-laid the hull himself and did a super-light layup. When Ben Kramer shot him, he was found scratching his way across 188th St towards it. He wanted to die with it.

But you'll ruin the authenticity by putting Konrads on it. Will it at least come with a book and DVD? At least "someone" is posting pics of the project...

I'll get a pic of the greasy cooler bellhousings the UPS guy dropped off this morning. Or would you prefer one of the rotten wood in the bolster frames?

That's one thing about projects- big drama in the first week or so, then it draws to a snail's pace while everyone does what they do and the tidbits show up every day or so. Once some of the motor parts start showing up, it'll get more interesting. I'm planning on doing a mini-tutorial on high-tech coatings for engine internals. Waiting on a new HVLP gun.
