Default ? about painting a boat???

I'm wanting to repaint the graphics on my boat. Is there any special prep or paints to use? Currently the graphics are emron on gel coat. I want to keep the same design just change the colors. And clean up the white and possibly clear coat the whole thing.

Thanks for any help
David

I'm just trying to figure out how much is involved, and the best way to do it.

Imron is nasty stuff, I would go with PPG basecoat, and PPG concept clear.

I would watersand whole boat with 1000 grit sand paper then mask off the design you want to change the color spray your base then clearcoat,I would not try it yourself if you dont have alot of exp. spraying you can make a mess quick. To do it right you will have alot of time involved.
