I used about 3 quarts I think on the Cat, but that was just hullsides, the Purple one took a gallon of white(I layed it on a little heavy) followed by the colors, and the clear. I sprayed it with just a cheap HVLP gun. No need to wetsand, although it does kinda have a slight orange peel, so a buff helped. I waited 2 weeks before buffing Rays boat. The purple one was clearcoated over the perfection using PPG Concept automotive clear, then buffed a month or so later.

A wet sand and buffing might go a long way to bringing the boat back.

When using the interlux perfection did you prime the fiberglass or did you apply the paint directly on the glass

I have done it both ways, my boat is primed since it was already paint over gel, and I wasnt sure of Brand/ type, but when I did Rays, it was just paint over gel, if you wanna prime(which I would suggest, especiaally if your changng colors), use Interlux 404/414 Epoxy Barrier Kote, along with appropriate Thinner at 25%, do not use spraycan primer, TRUST ME!!!

I am just shooting white over white in the transom area. My main concern is adhesion.
