Black... Ouch- sure would get hot.
I wrapped Geico's boats so obviously I am partial to florescent yellow.
Seriously, if you are going to do black on the bow, I recommend paint. I suspect the black vinyl will virtually melt and easily mar, you might even see foot prints.

I'm thinking of running flat black on the back 1/3 of the boat, or some flat black vinyl stripes down the side to break up the color.

Recently , I saw a mercedes 500 conv that looked great in satin black but I saw a skater at Gilbert's in the keys that showed every imperfection. Pantera has pulled off the gloss black thing a couple times with success. I was told that even black paint on the deck will blister over time, the sides might be cool though. I used black and carbon fiber in my interior which looks cool but is very warm in the sun, we use a few towels. There is a price for a cool dark look.
