What about just just sanding it up to about 800-1500 grit and then clear coating it???

I have a friend that has a red boat and is always complaining about the oxidation in the texured on the deck. Took a brass brush to the textured area to remove oxidation and dirt deep inside the texture, cleaned with a degreasing agent and then clear coated it.

Try a product made by yachtbrite. Its called Buff magic. It works great. It comes in a paste you put it on with a paint brushthen use a high speed buffer with a wool pad to buff it in just watch it because it will make some heat on the gelcoat. follow that with a product called sea breeze ( also made by yacht brite. apply that with the same buffer but switch to a foam pad. this will polish the sides. then after that puta good coat of wax on the boat to protect it. Its alot of work but its rewarding in the end.
I used this on a wellcraft san tropez that was pink... used to be red. did the same steps and it shines like new. If you keep a good coat of wax on it it should last through the summer.
