Default vynil pinstripe

So i bought a vynil pinstripe for my boat that measures aprox 6" wide and will span the entire lenght of the boat. I was messing around with a test piece today. I got it to stick to the area that i was applying it to, but when i went to pull the transfer tape off of the front of the stripe it was really hard to take off and messed up my entire test piece by the time i got it off.. Any ideas on how to make it easier to take off that tape? The pinstripe is kind of old and the tranfer tape is a little offcolored, looking like its been laying around in a wharehouse for some time. The glue on the tape is probably stuck really bad to the pinstripe. Any ideas on how to peel that off easily without ruining the stripe? Thanks for the input

Default Tape

You can use a solution of mild soapy water and spray on transfer tape let it soak a little that should help reliese it.

old stripe is tough to work with. What color is it and what length do you need?

Default stripe

I use a rotary eraser on my truck doors to remove vynal . 3m makes them at my paint store . You can also buy a right angle grinder type machine with a 2 '' wide eraser for around 500 thats what I use . Doesent ever hurt the paint only the decal.

you can try spraying it with some water and see if that helps...but if it really old...it's junk...
