Default How to fill Scratches and repaint

Fellas,

My Boat is just about ready for sea trial, but i wanted to have these scratches filled and blown in, the only thing is that i've been waiting for weeks to have this repaired and the guy has not shown as yet, so debaiting on doing it myself. Need suggestions if possible about how to go about repairing this myself.

Cheers,

either body filler or gel coat putty to fill and shape. If they're very deep I wouldn't use the filler but just a skim coat is ok. Then respray the gel coat and wet sand/buff to a shine.

Gel coat is easy to blend. You'll want to spray out about 5" past each side of your repairs to get a good blend and not sand into the repair. No need to redo the whole stripe.
