trs transom to bravo

Hey guys if I have a solid transom but its set up for a trs how far do I have to cut back the plywood to fill in the trs cutout and recut the brave

Here is a similar project. But instead of just filling in the lower part of your cutout, you would have to do all the way around.

if its an originally factory done cutout with a merc jig four out of the eight holes will be half way within the cutout and the two top ones would be in the middle of the trs steering arm hole (pending X dim).

I'm not a big fan of patching to do a TRS to Bravo but if you must and the existing is in very good condition i would step it back a good foot or so at the least.
