What Takes Sooot Off Transom?

Running carbs, I often have some build up of soot on the transom. Simple green doesn't get it completly off. What do youi recommend to use that I can spray on after being out for the day. I wax twice/year but am looking for something that will clean up on a daily basis. Thanks.

Putting longer tips on keeps a lot of the soot off the hull.

Mine starts off clean in the spring, then gets dirtier as the season goes on. I have best luck with Waxy Frenzy as far as keeping it cleaner longer. But at the end of the season, only way I've ever been able to make the transom Crest White clean again is to go over it with a polish, (not the wax type of polish, but a buffing polish). Never have ran across any product that works in the slightest that is a simple daily spray on cleaner, I've tried them all over the yrs too.

Thats the reason I had mine painted,The sides would get the scum/sooot line also,On my sides all it took is soap and water,Painting the transom, will be the same as the sides.no more harsh cleaners,

When it was gell I tried Mcguiers NTX wax it made the scum/stuff stick it it more,

Black streak remover works very well, also I bought some cleaner called Ram and it works good also. I had one Guy tell me to spray the transom down with WD40 before going out but have not tried that yet.

after the stern is 100% clean. Two coats of the Leverage polish sealer will help from keeping the stuff off. Put Leverage on the drives, steering, rams, and exhaust tips. I always keep like a large sponge in my boat and when rafting up I would quickly wipe off any residue, which made it super easy, most of the time hose off when I put it on the trailer or lift.
