1.What are you using for the glass Fabric? 2.how are you Measuring the MEKP 3. What kind of resin are you using .4 The Temp where you are working .5. Do you precut and fit before lamination.

We always Back wet the surface that way the resin comes up through while you roll the glass down with a metal roller.

Thanks for responding but I didn't want to chance it so I put a second layer down before the first dried . I used 7.5 oz clear cloth , seamens choice resin mixed 1.5% its about 70 degres here and I did precut the cloth before I started .
And god bless all who do fiberglass work for a living !!!!!!!!!!!!

Offshore medical and safety
you need to scuff sand , wipe with acetone, then you can lay down the next layer

Here's the floor after I fixed the imperfections in the plywood with duraglass and prefit the the cloth . As you can see I tore the boat all to hell , Updating whole cockpit and cabin .
I'll have more later with the resin down !

nice job

I do glass and paint work for a living and just caught up to toyour project. Great job and I admire anyone who takes on a project of this type. Just wanted to add that you have a good idea to seal the glass with paint or gelcoat. while resin and glass hold water in or out very well it is by itself a porous system and your paint will give you the moisture protection. the gelcoat in the mould isnt just to make the boat pretty. Great job!!
