I need to change my name to OCD Joe because I never stop , I sanded the gunnals down (8hrs) to remove carpet glue . Cut the storage compartment out from under the seat and built speakers box's and glassed them for the 6x9 's and the 12" sub .
The floor has two layers of 7.5 oz cloth . Don't like the clear resin wish I had used the green that the builders use !

Looking good, I did the same job last year. Glassed and painted the floor. A lot of work.

Ok ! Why is it so hard to get the bubbles out of the glass (matt) on the corners and edges ? I roller, roller , roller and wet and brush and pull but the bubbles keep coming back !
Whats the tricks ?????????????

glass doesnt like 90 degree bends, thats why you radius the tops of stingers etc.... once you roll the bubbles out, try wrapping something heavy with a square edge with wax paper and laying it in there to put pressure on it while it kicks,, might work..might not but worth a shot..

You could have radiused the inside corners with cabocile. The cab helps to hold the glass down.

you should be able to work mat into just about any corner. Try rolling toward the corners pushing the laminate into it. Another thing you might try is mix just a bit of cabosil in the resin.

Yea! the inside of the box's came out great but the outside edges have some lines of air bubbles , I only did the sub box so far but I'm gonna router the edges of the 6 x 9 box's before I wrap them and see if that works !
What is cabosil anyway ? ? ?

Kool ! Thanks for the info , I took a grinder and rounded the corners ( Just took the sharp 90 off ) and the glass wraps around it nicely now.... post pictures of the speaker box's wraped and gel coated in a litle bit !
