The gray primer in the pics is transtar. I only use it to identify pin holes. The plug is alot further along, near completion, since those pics. I want to put down a durable final finish to pull the mold from so will go with duratec, tried and true. The slick sand was an option because th supplier wanted me to give it a try but I really dont want things to go bad at this point with a 'maybe' product. They couldn't tell me if the slick sand could be polished to a high gloss either.

I definitely wouldn't want to use slick sand, euro fill or even the transtar primers to pull a mold off of
